The Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 EFI Kit #35650 for 1970-1991 AMC 304, 360, 390, 401 CID engines is a fully sequential multi-port injection system designed with a fuel injector strategically positioned in each runner of the intake manifold to deliver the best fuel atomization and most even distribution to each cylinder. This system features the high-performance Victor Jr.-style single-plane intake manifold that comes preassembled with high-flow injectors, fuel rails and 4150-flange throttle body. All supporting sensors are included along with distributor, wire harnesses and ECU. The Victor manifold is designed with a larger cross-sectional area in the plenum and larger runners for high-horsepower and/or large cubic-inch applications. This kit uses 35 lb/hr injectors and is rated for 550 horsepower at 58 PSI of fuel pressure. Calibration of the Pro-Flo 4 is a simple process with a Setup Wizard providing guidance through the E-Tuner's initial programming. Once provided with basic information such as type of engine, cubic inches, firing order, and cam profile, the E-Tuner then selects the most appropriate base calibration. Once the base calibration is set, the self-learning E-Tuner takes over to continually maximize the fuel map for your specific engine configuration, even compensating for changes in altitude and weather. The E-Tuner provides more advanced tuning options that allow precise control over cold starts and acceleration while retaining the simplicity that Pro-Flo systems are known for. No laptop tuning is required. The exclusive Edelbrock E-Tuner 4 app is Free and Available for Android and IOS based smart phone or tablet.

About Edelbrock

Edelbrock was founded in 1938 by Vic Edelbrock Sr. in Los Angeles, California. Initially, the company focused on producing performance parts, with Vic's first major success being a high-performance intake manifold designed for flathead V8 engines. This innovation helped enhance engine efficiency and performance, laying the foundation for the company's reputation in the automotive aftermarket. Vic's love for racing also played a significant role in the early development of Edelbrock, as he designed parts to improve the speed and power of his own cars.

By the 1950s and 1960s, Edelbrock began to expand its product offerings, moving beyond intake manifolds to include carburetors, camshafts, and other components essential for performance cars. The company gained recognition in the burgeoning hot rod and drag racing scenes, particularly in California, where racing culture was rapidly growing. Edelbrock's products were highly regarded for their quality and performance, earning the company a loyal following among car enthusiasts and racers.

During the 1970s, the company solidified its position as a leader in the performance parts industry. With Vic Edelbrock Jr. joining the business, Edelbrock expanded its reach beyond racing into the street performance market, offering a variety of parts for muscle cars and street machines. The Edelbrock carburetor became a go-to choice for enthusiasts looking to boost engine performance, and the company continued to innovate, expanding its product line to meet the growing demands of car enthusiasts.

The 1980s and 1990s marked a period of continued growth for Edelbrock as the company advanced with cutting-edge technologies, such as the introduction of electronic fuel injection (EFI) systems and aluminum cylinder heads. Edelbrock was a key player in motorsports, supporting events in NASCAR, NHRA drag racing, and circle track racing. The company's emphasis on technological innovation helped it remain at the forefront of the performance parts industry.

In the 2000s, Edelbrock adapted to modern advancements in manufacturing, utilizing CNC-machining and computer modeling for greater precision in its products. The company also expanded its portfolio, delving into areas like superchargers, performance exhaust systems, and automotive electronics. As the market shifted, Edelbrock continued to develop high-performance parts to meet the needs of both racers and car enthusiasts.

In 2020, Edelbrock was acquired by Icahn Enterprises, a holding company controlled by investor Carl Icahn. Despite this change in ownership, Edelbrock has maintained its legacy as a trusted brand in automotive performance. The company continues to innovate with new products and technologies, ensuring that it remains a leader in the automotive aftermarket space.

Today, Edelbrock is a globally recognized name in the automotive performance industry. The company’s long history of innovation, dedication to quality, and commitment to performance has earned it a loyal customer base that includes racing professionals, car builders, and hobbyists alike. From its humble beginnings to its current standing as a giant in the performance parts world, Edelbrock’s legacy of excellence continues to shape the automotive landscape.
